Testing a Published Program Using Renderer 3.0

In advance of the release of Renderer 3.0 on September 31, 2021, it is important to test all your published programs to make sure that all the video elements render properly. These video elements include images, text, narrations, placeholder location, animations, buttons, and music.

In each published program, we recommend that you test:

All stories

All viewer profiles in every scene, to cover all the variations

1.

Log in to SundaySky.

2.

Select the published program that you want to test.

Click Builder.

4.       Click the Preview icon Preview_icon.png.

5.

In Story, open the drop-down list and select the story that you want to test.

In Selected Scenes, open the drop-down list and select All.
▶ As mentioned above, it is important to test all the scenes of a story.

Click the Sample Profile tab and then open the drop-down list below to select the profile that you want to test.

Open Advanced Settings.

In the Output Preferences section—in Renderer version—select 2.0 (CPU based).

Scroll to the top of the page and play the video. Note the quality as you watch the video.
▶ This is the current version of the video.

Open the Output Preferences section again but now select 3.0 (GPU based) to test the new Renderer version.

Play the video again.

As you watch, note any inconsistencies between this video and the video you rendered previously with 2.0 (CPU based).

Open and check the Warnings and Errors section to see if any problems occurred while using the new renderer.

Note:

If you find an inconsistency or any other issue, contact the SundaySky Support Team. In the support request that you submit, include a detailed description of the issue together with the warnings and errors that were received.

Repeat steps 7-14 with all the other sample profiles for the scene.

(Optional) Create additional sample profiles to test other variations.

Repeat steps 5-17 for all the other stories in the program.

18.

Repeat steps 2-17 for all the other published programs in your account.
