When you want to focus on a particular part of an image, you can use the cropping tool to position and size what is shown in the media placeholder.

Cropping an Image

1. Open the relevant video in the Studio.

From the scene line-up, select the scene with the image that you want to crop.

3. Double-click the image.

4. Click Edit asset.

  The image is opened in the media editor, ready for cropping. Note that the aspect ratio of the cropping window matches the aspect ratio of the media placeholder in the scene. This ensures that the image will be displayed correctly in the scene.

5. Drag the cropping window to select the part of the image that you want to keep.
▶ You can also resize the image by dragging the corner handles.

6. When you are happy with the result, click Apply in the bottom right corner.

7. Click anywhere outside the media window to save the edit.

  The image is updated in the media placeholder.

Notes

1.

While you are working, you can always click the Reset button in the upper right corner to discard the changes and start again.

If you access the image after the cropping action, you'll see the section you cropped within the original image. This will enable you to crop a different section whenever you need to.
