With the SundaySky Video Platform, you can personalize a video by including a media asset (image or video footage) that is unique to each viewer. The data regarding what to display for each viewer is passed to SundaySky via a data stream.
|The following are use case examples for this type of personalization:
|Creating a video for a sales prospect with their image in the opening scene.
|Creating a video for a prospective customer with an image of a product that they showed interest in.
|The personalization process includes three major steps, to be done in sequential order:
|All the media assets that you want to use in the video need to be hosted on a website, each with its own URL. This is the URL that will be included in each viewer's record and to which you will map the data field (step 2 below).
|Create a data field that represents the media asset that you want to personalize. In general, you need to set up a data library that has all the data fields that you'll use for personalizing content. In the case of media assets, the data field that you create needs to be mapped to the source field in your company records that holds the URL of the media asset.
The following Help Center articles can guide you in this step:
● To understand the general background, see Video Personalization—How It Works.
● To learn how to set up the data library and add data fields, see Managing the SundaySky Data Library.
● To learn how to prepare the data feed, see Data Connector: File Upload.

|Configure the content in the video scenes. The guidelines in this article address this step.
Configuring the Media Content
Open the relevant video in the Studio.
From the scene line-up, select the scene in which you want to configure the media content.
Double-click the media placeholder.
Select From data stream.
Click the down arrow to open the data field drop-down list.
From the drop-down list, select the data field that is mapped to the URL of the unique media asset that you want to display for each viewer. A data field will only appear in this list if it was created in the data library, as described in step 2.
Upload the media asset that you want to display when the data record of a specific viewer does not contain a media URL. To do this, click Media library and then upload an asset from your computer or use a stock asset (image or video footage).
Click anywhere outside the media window to save the configurations.
