Installing the Designer Extension (Fresh Installation)

Before Starting:

In order to work with the Designer, you need to have:

1. Adobe After Effects installed on your computer

2. Designer permissions from SundaySky.
Note that the Designer extension is not included in the standard SundaySky platform. Please reach out to your contact at SundaySky if you are interested in adding it.

Supported Versions: AE 2019 (version 16) - AE 2022 (version 22)

Download and install Anastasiy's Extension Manager using the following link: https://install.anastasiy.com/

Download the latest Designer installation from the following location: https://sundaysky-ae-suite.s3.amazonaws.com/installer/sskyAESuite-latest.zxp
3.

Open Asastasiy's Extension Manager and install the Designer extension by dragging its installation to Anastasiy's window.

Follow the steps in this article to install the Pre-Render templates.

Download FFmpeg using one of the following links:
For Windows: https://sundaysky-ae-suite.s3.amazonaws.com/ffmpeg/windows/ffmpeg.exe
For Mac: https://sundaysky-ae-suite.s3.amazonaws.com/ffmpeg/mac/ffmpeg

Open Adobe After Effects.
▶ If Adobe After Effects is already open, close and open the application.

Open the Designer extension in Adobe After Effects (Windows > Extensions > SundaySky Dynamic Tools)
▶ The Designer works only with saved projects so you'll need to save your current project in order to open the Designer.
8.

Once the Designer is running, you can sign in with your Studio/Builder credentials (first icon on the right).
9.

Go to the Pre-Render tab (third from left) and load the ffmpeg.exe file that you downloaded in step 7.
10.

Follow the steps in this article to set up a synced assets folder.
