Overview
Joining media assets allows you to combine multiple video assets and static images into a single, seamless asset. This is useful when you want to connect short segments, insert images between scenes, remove pauses, and create a continuous, cohesive video asset.
Joining Media Assets Step by Step
| 1. | Open the first video asset in the Media Editor. Not sure how? Follow the steps in Accessing the Media Editor. |
| 2. | Click Timeline in the lower-right corner to open the timeline. |
| The current video asset is positioned in the main track of the video timeline. | |
| 3. | Click + Add Clip to open the Media Library. |
| 4. | Locate the asset you want to add to the existing footage. ▶ You can also upload an asset from your computer or record a video using the SundaySky Recorder. |
| 5. | Select the asset and then click Import at the bottom of the library. |
| The asset is added to the timeline right after the previous video asset. | |
| 6. | (Optional) Add more media assets to the timeline. |
| 7. | (Optional) Trim any video assets on the timeline as needed. |
| 8. | Play the entire video sequence to ensure it looks exactly as you intended. |
| 9. | Click Apply in the upper-right corner to save your changes and create the new media asset. |
| 10. | In the Studio, make sure Play full duration is selected so the new media asset plays until the end. |
