Overview

Once you approve a video, you can download it as an MP4 file with or without closed captions.

Following are the key points to know about downloading a video:

  • A video needs to be approved for sharing before it can be downloaded.
  • A video is downloaded with the following specifications: HD 720p (1280 x 720 pixels)
  • When you play the MP4 file, the buttons in scenes are not clickable. We therefore recommend that you not include buttons in the video that you are downloading.
  • If the MP4 file is played in the QuickTime player, closed captions cannot be displayed.
  • If you would like to share a draft of your video with others before approving, see Downloading a Draft.
  • For in-depth information on sharing a video in general, see Sharing a Video.

The video is downloaded to your computer.
If you have included captions, the video is downloaded to a zipped folder containing two files (see example below). The MP4 file contains the video and the WebVTT file contains the captions. When you extract the files, make sure to keep them together in the extracted folder.
▶ If the video does not include personalization, the file name convention is [video name]
▶ If the video includes personalization, the file name convention is [video name]_[viewer profile name]

In the example below, the video name is Product Update Announcement and the viewer profile name is Individuals.
