Using the AI Media Generator to Create a Video - DRAFT

Overview

The AI Media Generator enables you to create custom video assets using a simple text prompt. After you describe what you want to see, the AI generates a visual-only video asset that you can add to any scene in your video. This allows you to quickly create visuals that match your specific message or scene, without searching for existing media. The generated asset is added to Your Media and can be used like any other media asset in your videos.

Access Points

The AI Media Generator can be accessed in two primary ways, depending on your workflow:

1. From a Media Placeholder (Scene-Based Creation)
When working within a scene, you can generate a video asset directly from a media placeholder. The generated asset is automatically placed in the selected placeholder.
This option is ideal when you know exactly where the asset will be used in your video.

2. From the Media Library (Library-Based Creation)

You can access the AI Media Generator from the Media Library to create video assets without placing them in a specific scene. This option is useful when:

You want to prepare assets in advance
You're building a media collection
You don't yet have a specific scene in mind

The AI Media Generator can also be used to create a video asset wherever you can add a video from the Media Library. The following examples illustrate how it appears in different locations.

AI Usage Credits for Video Generation

Using the AI Media Generator to create a video requires AI usage credits. Your available credit balance is displayed when you begin the generation process, as shown below.

AI usage credits for video generation are calculated based on the total length of the generated video. For each second of video, 175 AI usage credits are consumed.

Credits are consumed when you click the button to generate the video. Once consumed, credits cannot be returned.

Generating a Video Asset

Generating a video asset with the AI Media Generator involves two main steps. In step 1, you define the visual concept and select the first frame. In step 2, you set the video duration and camera motion, and then generate the final asset.

AI usage credits are deducted only after the video is generated at the end of step 2. This allows you to review and adjust the first frame before any credits are consumed.

Step 1: Defining the First Frame
Step 2: Generating the Final Asset

Step 1: Defining the First Frame
a. Access the AI Media Generator. For more information, see Access Points.
b. In the AI Media Generator, select the Video tab.
c. In the Tell us the content of your video field, enter a description of the video you want to generate. Include details such as who or what appears in the video, where it takes place, and what is happening.
▶ You can also click Help me write a prompt to open an AI-powered chat that helps you refine your idea and generate a prompt.

d. In the Aspect ratio field, select 16:9 or 9:16.
▶ If you accessed the AI Media Generator from a media placeholder, the aspect ratio that best fits the placeholder is selected by default.
e. In the Camera angle field, open the drop-down list and select the camera's position and orientation relative to the subject.
f. In the Style field, select one of the available visual styles: Real life, Object, Drawing, 3D, Abstract, or Interface.
g. Click Generate first frame.
Up to four generated first-frame options are displayed on the right side of the page.

(Optional) If you're not satisfied with the current first-frame options, you can generate a new set before moving to step 2. No AI usage credits are deducted at this stage, so you can experiment freely. To generate a new set of first frames, you can:

Click Generate first frame again to create up to four new frames using the current settings.
Update the Tell us the content of your video prompt.
Change the aspect ratio, camera angle, or style.

After making changes to the prompt, aspect ratio, camera angle, or style, you'll need to click Generate first frame again to see the updated frames.

j. Once you're satisfied with a first frame, click it on the right side of the page to select it.
k. Click Add motion to this frame in the bottom-right corner to continue to step 2.

Step 2: Generating the Final Asset

Note:
At any point during this step, you can return to step 1 to modify the first frame by clicking Back to prompt and first frame in the bottom-left corner.

a. (Optional) In the Describe the subject's motion field, review the motion description generated by the AI. This description continues the selected first frame and defines how the subjects move in the video.
You can edit this text to adjust how you want the subjects to move, or leave it as generated.

b. Select the video duration: 4 Sec, 6 Sec, or 8 Sec. By default, 6 Sec is selected.
After selecting the duration, the Generate Video button in the bottom-right corner displays the number of AI usage credits that will be deducted based on the selected length.
▶ AI usage credits are deducted only after you click Generate Video.
c. In the Camera motion section, select how the camera should move during the video. By default, Static Camera is selected.
▶ You can hover over an option to preview the motion before selecting it.
d. Click Generate Video in the bottom-right corner to generate the video asset.
e. Once the video has been processed, preview it.
▶ At this point, you can click Refine video motion at the bottom of the page to return to the AI Media Generator. From there, you can modify the prompt, first frame, motion description, duration, or other setting and generate a new video. Generating a new video will consume additional AI usage credits.
The Refine video motion button is available only while you remain on this page.

Notes

1.

If you attempt to close the generation page shown below, a confirmation message is displayed.
You can choose one of the following options:

Stay — Remain on the page and wait for the video to finish generating.
Leave and notify me — The video continues generating in the background. You will receive a notification once it's ready.
If you select this option, you will not be able to refine the video after it is generated, as the Refine video motion option is available only on the generation page. The completed video will be available in the AI Media Assets folder.

2. The generated video asset is automatically named based on the prompt you enter. Consider editing the asset name in the Media Library if you want a shorter or more descriptive title.
3.

Prompts are automatically reviewed to ensure compliance with the Terms of Use. If an issue is detected, the following message is displayed:

If this message appears, revise your prompt and try again.
