Using the AI Media Generator to Create an Image - DRAFT

Overview

The AI Media Generator enables you to create custom images using a simple text prompt. After you describe what you want to see, the AI generates images that you can add to any scene in your videos. This allows you to quickly create visuals that match your specific message or scene without searching for existing media. The generated images can be saved in Your Media, and then be used like any other media asset in your videos.

Access Points

The AI Media Generator can be accessed in two primary ways, depending on your workflow:

1. From a Media Placeholder (Scene-Based Creation)
When working within a scene, you can generate an image directly from a media placeholder. The generated image can then be placed in that placeholder.
This option is ideal when you know exactly where the asset will be used in your video.

2. From the Media Library (Library-Based Creation)

You can access the AI Media Generator from the Media Library to create images without placing them in a specific scene. This option is useful when:

You want to prepare images in advance
You're building a media collection
You don't yet have a specific scene in mind

The AI Media Generator can also be used to create an image wherever you can add an image from the Media Library. The following examples illustrate how it appears in different locations.

AI Usage Credits for Image Generation

Using the AI Media Generator to create an image requires AI usage credits. Your available credit balance is displayed when you begin the generation process, as shown below.

AI usage credits for image generation are calculated per generation request. Each request generates a set of up to four images and consumes 80 AI usage credits.

Credits are consumed when you click the button to generate the images. Once consumed, credits cannot be returned.

Generating an Image

1. Access the AI Media Generator. For more information, see Access Points.
2. In the AI Media Generator, select the Image tab.
3. In the Tell us about the image field, enter a description of the image you want to generate. Include details such as who or what appears in the image, where it takes place, and what is happening.
▶ You can also click Help me write a prompt to open an AI-powered chat that helps you refine your idea and generate a prompt.

4. In the Aspect ratio field, select the aspect ratio for the image.
▶ If you accessed the AI Media Generator from a media placeholder, the aspect ratio that best fits the placeholder is selected by default.
5. In the Camera angle field, open the drop-down list and select the camera's position and orientation relative to the subject.
6. In the Style field, select one of the available visual styles: Real life, Object, Drawing, 3D, Abstract, or Interface.
7. Click Generate images.
Up to four generated images are displayed on the right side of the page.

9.

(Optional) If you're not satisfied with the generated images, you can create a new set.
Generating a new set replaces the current images. If you want to keep any of the images, make sure to save them before generating new ones. See Saving and Using Generated Images for details.
▶ AI usage credits are consumed when images are generated, so you may want to save images you might use later.

To generate a new set, do any of the following:

Click Generate images again to create up to four new images using the current settings.
Update the Tell us about the image prompt or use Help me write a prompt (recommended) to refine the description.
Change the aspect ratio, camera angle, or style.

After modifying the prompt or settings, click Generate images again to generate the new images.

10. Save or use the generated images. See Saving and Using Generated Images below for details.

Saving and Using Generated Images

Generated images are not saved automatically. If you want to keep an image, you must save it before generating a new set of images or closing the AI Media Generator.

After images are generated, the following actions are available from the image thumbnails:

Save an image to Your Media:
Click Save to save the image to Your Media, in the AI Media Assets folder.
  Save_AI_Assets.png

Save an image in a specific folder:
Click the folder icon, and then select the folder in which you want to save the image.

Some actions depend on where you accessed the AI Media Generator.

If you generated the image from a media placeholder, Use image places the selected image in the placeholder and also saves it in the AI Media Assets folder.

2. Currently, the AI Media Generator cannot create images with a transparent background.
