Setting the Duration of a Video Asset in a Scene

Overview

After adding a video asset to a scene, you can control how the video plays within that scene.
The SundaySky platform provides three duration options:

1. Cut at end of scene (default)
When this option is selected, the video asset plays until the narration ends.
2.

Play full duration
When this option is selected and the narration is shorter than the video asset, the video continues playing until it reaches its end. The scene then ends automatically. We recommend using this option in the following scenarios:

  • The video asset demonstrates step-by-step instructions.
  • The video asset shows a person speaking.
  • The most important part of the video asset appears at the end.

When the entire video asset is played, the first and last seconds of the video play during the transitions between scenes.

3.

Loop while scene plays
When this option is selected, the video asset loops until the narration ends. This option is useful when the video asset is shorter than the narration and you want the video to continue playing until the narration ends. Looping prevents the video from appearing to "freeze" before the narration ends.

When using this option, the video's audio is automatically muted — even if the video asset is set to Play video sound.
