Overview
With SundaySky's built-in media editing functions, you can quickly and easily edit and improve any media asset used in your scenes. A one-stop shop for all your editing needs, the Media Editor successfully replaces an array of third-party tools and resources—reducing time and friction.
The intuitive interface and diverse range of tools are designed for both novice users and seasoned creatives. Beginners can transform ordinary images into striking works of art while advanced users can unleash their creative potential and achieve professional-grade results.
The Media Editor supports both static images and video assets. WebM and GIF file types are currently not supported.
The Interface
Click through the tabs beneath the image to read descriptions of the corresponding components.
The toolbar at the top of the screen provides access to media editing options.
If a video asset is opened in the Media Editor, Trim is also included in the toolbar.
Clicking Shapes displays a selection of shapes that can be added to an image.
If a video asset is opened in the Media Editor, Shapes is not displayed.
Open the drop-down list to select a zoom level for the media asset opened in the Media Editor. Clicking the - and + on either side of the option decreases or increases the zoom level accordingly.
Clicking Cancel discards all the edits made to the media asset while opened in the Media Editor and returns you to the Studio.
Clicking Apply applies all the edits made to the media asset while opened in the Media Editor and returns you to the Studio.
Clicking Undo cancels the previous actions; Redo reverses the Undo actions.
Pane Actions
After selecting an option from the toolbar, a pane is opened on the left side of the Media Editor where you can define the option's settings according to your preferences. In the example below, the Filter option has been selected. When an option has been selected and configured, a blue line appears beneath the option's icon.
Click through the tabs beneath the image to read descriptions of the actions that are active after selecting an option.
Clicking Clear discards any edits that were made.
Clicking the eye icon enables/disables the option.
▶ There are some options that are disabled by default and need to be intentionally enabled.
▶ This action can also be used to disable an option after it is configured, in effect saving the configuration—to be enabled when you want to apply the edit.
Clicking the X closes the pane.
Removing an Edit
If you made an edit to the media asset and would now like to remove it, follow the steps below. You can remove an edit in either of the following states:
- Before leaving the Media Editor and clicking Apply.
