Overview
SundaySky’s Custom AI Voice feature allows you to create an AI-generated version of your own voice (or that of another speaker). Instead of using a stock AI voice, you can upload a short recording and quickly generate a voice clone that captures your natural tone, making your video communication personal, relatable, and unmistakably yours.
Key benefits of using a custom AI voice include:
- Your voice sounds the same across all videos, no matter when they're created.
- You can easily update narrations without needing to re-record audio.
- Your custom voice is always available, ready to use whenever you create new content.
Before Starting
Before you record the audio file for your custom voice, take note of the following:
| 1. | Make sure the person whose voice is being recorded has given consent for cloning, including any necessary legal clearance. |
| 2. | Review the best practices for optimal recording and ensure your file meets the audio file specifications. |
| 3. | You can create the audio recording either before starting the step-by-step process or during it, whichever works better for you. |
| 4. | Currently, once created, a custom voice cannot be deleted. |
Creating a Custom AI Voice Step by Step
| 1. | Click Voice on the sidebar. |
| 2. | On the left side of the Voice Library, click Create AI Voice. ▶ The remaining number of AI voices available to create in your account is displayed on the button. |
| 3. | Click Upload voice sample. |
| 4. | Create an audio recording that is at least one minute long. ▶ If you like, you can download a sample script to read for your recording. |
| 5. | Click Browse to upload your audio file. ▶ Only MP3 and M4A formats are supported. |
| The file is uploaded and its name and duration are displayed. If needed, you can delete the file or replace it with another one. | |
| 6. | Click Create voice. |
| 7. | Enter a name for the custom voice. ▶ The name must be unique. |
| 8. | After reviewing the consent terms and conditions, select the checkbox to confirm. |
| 9. | Click Create voice. |
| The audio file is processed, and the custom voice is generated. | |
| The new custom AI voice is added to the Voice Library. ▶ After creation, the remaining custom voice balance updates automatically (in the example below, 2 remain). |

| 10. | To preview the voice, hover over its initials until the play button appears, and then click the button. |
| The new custom AI voice is now available for use in any video in your account. Select it by clicking its row in the Voice Library, just like any other voice. | |
Best Practices for Recording
| 1. | Record in a quiet environment. |
| 2. | Use a high-quality microphone. Often, a mobile phone provides better quality than a built-in computer microphone, though a computer microphone can work if nothing else is available. |
| 3. | Ensure only one person is audible in the recording. |
| 4. | Maintain a consistent volume and tone while speaking. |
| 5. | Speak naturally and avoid long pauses. |
| 6. | Use your natural accent. |
| 7. | Make sure the recording is clear, without echo or background noise. Listen to it before uploading to confirm the quality. |
