Overview
An AI (text-to-speech) voice enables you to easily create narration directly from your script. Using an AI voice has many benefits, among them:
- The narration is created immediately.
- You are not dependent on any external resources. There is no need to find a suitable voice talent, coordinate recording sessions, review the recording, or have multiple iterations.
- Using an AI voice is completely free of charge.
- Editing the narration is quick and easy.
The SundaySky platform includes a rich library of natural-sounding voices from which you can choose the one that best matches your content's tone and style.
Note:
On January 15, 2025, expired voices were removed from the Voice Library except for those that are currently being used by videos in your account.
You can identify these voices by the Expired label that appears by their name.
See Expiring Voices-FAQ for guidelines on how to handle a video that is currently using a voice that has expired.
Adding an AI Voice
1. | Open the relevant video in the Studio. |
2. | Select Voice in the sidebar. |
The Voice Library is displayed. |
|
3. | Browse through the list of voices or search for a specific voice. ▶ As you browse, click the play button by the voice name to listen to a short sample. |
4. | Select a voice by clicking its row. ▶ The selected voice is highlighted in blue. |
5. | Click Done at the bottom of the Voice Library. |
Voice Characteristics
Each voice in the Voice Library is cataloged with tags that describe its characteristics and classification. These tags include language and dialect, gender, age, and tone.
In the example below, the voice named George is cataloged with the following characteristics:
- Language: English (with a British dialect)
- Gender: Male
- Age Group: Adult
- Tone: Mature, Engaging, Dramatic
The addition of the Enhanced tag indicates that the voice is very natural-sounding, has excellent pronunciation and enunciation, and can handle common acronyms better than other voices.
Searching for a Voice
1. | You can search all characteristics by typing text in the search bar. For example: typing young retrieves all the voices tagged as young, regardless of the other attributes. |
2. | Use the filters to display only the voices that you want to see or to refine the results after performing a search. |
3. | If a language has multiple dialects (for example, English and French), selecting the main language retrieves voices in all the dialects. |
