Preparing the Data File

1.

Click Your customized CSV Template to download the data file template.

2.

Open the data file template on your desktop. This template includes the data fields used for personalizing your video. Each data field name is a column header.
The data file that you upload needs to be in the same format as this file. In addition, the letter case must also match.
▶ In the example below, there are three column headings: id, First Name, and Customer Type. According to this example, the column headings in the uploaded file must exactly match the column headings in the template: id in column A, First Name in column B, and Customer Type in column C.

3. Prepare the data file using one of the following methods:
Method 1 Copy the header columns from the data file template to your company data file. Make sure that the values beneath each column header are relevant to the column header (data field).
Method 2 Use the data file template as your data file and enter the relevant values in each row.
Method 3 Use the data file template only as a reference. Compare the column headings in your data file to the template to make sure that the format is correct.

Important Notes:

a.

Every column must have a column header.

b.

The column header name must be unique and differ from the other column header names.

c.

The id column is mandatory and must always be the first column (A). The column header id must always be written in lowercase.

d.

Every row (record) must have an id value. Values for all other column headers (fields) are optional. In the case of an empty value, the message shown in the video will be according to the default message defined in the video.

e.

The id value in each row must be unique. This is for two reasons:
a. A unique video link is created for each record.
b. The id value is used in detailed reports.

4.

Save the file in CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) format.
