Changing the Text Style in a Placeholder

Overview

A scene in your video can include one or more text placeholders. In the example below, there are two text placeholders: one styled as a heading and the other as a sub-heading.

Heading and Sub-heading are two of the text styles defined in a brand applied to a video. Each text style includes four characteristics: font, letter case, line spacing, and letter spacing.

While each text placeholder comes with a default text style, you can easily switch to a different style to match your design needs.

Changing the Text Style

1. Select the placeholder containing the text whose style you want to change.

2. On the toolbar, click the Style icon to see which text style is currently applied to the placeholder.
3. From the drop-down list, select the style you want to switch to.

  The text style is changed.

Notes

1. Although you can apply the Button text style to a text placeholder (as shown above), the text style used on an actual button cannot be changed.
2. When you change the text style, any previous edits — such as size, alignment, or color — are preserved. For example, if the text color in the placeholder was changed from black to blue, it will remain blue after the text style is updated.
3. If you want to revert to the placeholder's original text style and formatting at any time, click Clear formatting from the three-dot Options menu.
