Overview

When you type text into a placeholder, it is formatted by default according to the text style defined in the brand used for the video. After adding the text, you can apply additional formatting options, such as bold or italic.

When Bold or Italic Formatting Is Unavailable

In some cases, the text style assigned to a placeholder does not support bold, italic, or both. When this happens, a warning message appears after you access the text placeholder, indicating which formatting options are unavailable. The example below shows such a warning:

At this point, you can choose to change the text style in the brand to one that supports the formatting you need. Before doing so, review the warning below.

Warning:

A text style is a component of a brand, and a single brand can be applied to multiple videos. Changing a text style in a brand affects not only the video you are currently working on, but also all other videos that use the same brand. For this reason, we recommend proceeding with caution.
